Meteorological Department of Pakistan (PMD) is organizing a two-day international workshop on Accuracy and Reliability of Flood Forecasting Models to seek opinion from national and international experts on the topic.
The workshop will begin in Lahore on July 17 and will conclude on July 18, which PMD is holding in collaboration with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and ICHARM, according to PMD. It says the purpose of the workshop is to seek opinions and inputs from national and international experts to improve the accuracy and reliability of flood forecast.
