Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf thanked Raul Castro Ruz, President Republic of Cuba and Ahmed Saleem, Secretary General Saarc for their felicitation message on his assumption of the office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
He also thanked Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of Republic of Kazakhstan for his condolence message on the tragic plan crash in Islamabad in April this year. The Prime Minister said that Pakistan attached great importance to Saarc and would extend every possible support and co-operation to the Association's Secretariat to carry the SAARC agenda forward. The Prime Minister while thanking Raul Castro said that Pakistan attached great importance to the relations with Cuba and hoped that close and cordial relations existing between both the countries will be further cemented in the coming years.
