Over 10 people, including six Awami National Party (ANP) workers were seriously injured in a firing incident here in the city amid strike in the provincial capital on Saturday. According to police, strike was observed in Quetta against the bomb blast at ANP rally that killed six persons on Friday.
In the same backdrop, the ANP workers were passing through the double road when unknown gunmen opened fire on them. Subsequently, 10 people were injured who were later shifted to the hospitals. Party workers marched to the hospital and protested outside the area.
Earlier on Friday, the ANP announced to observe a shutter down strike on Saturday and three days mourning in Balochistan over the bomb explosion near the venue of a rally arranged by the ANP in Kuchlak Bazaar. The blast killed six people including ANP leader Malik Qasim and wounded several others.
