KARACHI: On Monday, on market close, PKR gained value against USD in both interbank and open markets. It also went up against Euro in open market.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, on market close, Pakistan Rupee gained 10 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over last Friday's rates closing at 162.30 and 162.40 respectively

OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR gained 10 paisas for buying and 30 paisas for selling over last Friday's rates closing at 162.40 and 162.70 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR went up by 50 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 189 and 190.50 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR went up by 5 paisas for buying while losing 10 paisas for selling closing at 44.15 and 44.50 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR lost 10 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 42.90 and 43.10 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee appreciated its worth in the process of trading against the greenback in the local currency market on Monday.
Amid lack of buyers' interest in the market, the greenback remained under selling pressure throughout the trading session and ended lower for buying and selling at Rs 162.20 and Rs 163.50 against the last Friday's closing rate of Rs 162.70 and Rs 163.70 respectively, local currency dealers said.
Furthermore, the rupee stayed unchanged against the pound sterling for buying at Rs 209.00 whereas it lost 30 for selling and closed at Rs 210.80 against the opening rate of Rs 210.50, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee gained 50paisas against the dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Monday.
The dollar opened at Rs162.90(buying) and Rs163(selling) against last rate of Rs163.40(buying) and Rs163.50(selling).
It closed at Rs162.90(buying) and Rs163(selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs. 115,300(selling) and Rs115,100(buying) at the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
