LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Friday extended pre-arrest bail of PML-N MNA Rana Sanaullah Khan, Capt Muhammad Safdar (retd), son-in-law of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, and 27 others till October 26 in a case of attacking police.
The court asked the lawyers of the suspects to continue their arguments on the next hearing. The court also allowed a one-time exemption from personal appearance to Rana Sanaullah due to the National Assembly's sessions.
Safdar and other nominated parliamentarians and workers of the PML-N appeared before the court along with their lawyers. Their lawyers argued that the police implicated the petitioners in the FIR without holding their identification. They accused the prosecution of delaying of submission of challan in the case.
