COAS Bajwa meets Turkish defence minister, discusses regional stability
- Army chief says both countries share great history of brotherly relations which is being transformed into enduring partnership
(Karachi) Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa meets Turkey’s Defence Minister, General Hulusi Akar on Monday.
A statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that they both exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged regional stability as well as defence and security cooperation.
COAS Bajwa said that both countries share great history of brotherly relations which is being transformed into enduring partnership.
The dignitary commended the role of Pakistan for regional peace and stability, especially the efforts of Pakistan Army in battling the scourge of terrorism.
Meanwhile, paying tributes to Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed, NH, the ISPR stated that Naik Saif will forever remind us of our commitment to Kashmir. "His immortal action is glowing precedent for those struggling to restore the sanctity of land that he laid his life for."
"Nation venerates his sacrifice," the ISPR added.
