KARACHI: On Tuesday, on market close, PKR gained value against USD in both interbank and open markets. It however, exhibited mixed behaviour against Euro in open market where it lost value for buying but gained for selling. Against AED and SR, it however went up.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, on market close, Pakistan Rupee gained 15 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 160.85 and 160.95 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR gained 40 paisas for buying and 10 paisas for selling over yesterday's rates closing at 160.60 and 161.10 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR went down by one rupee for buying while going up by 20 paisas for selling closing at 189 and 190.30 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR went up by 15 paisas for buying and 25 paisas for selling closing at 43.70 and 43.95 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR gained 10 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 42.55 and 42.75 respectively.

RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee improved by 50 paisas against the dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Tuesday.
The dollar opened at Rs161 (buying) and Rs161.10 (selling) against last rate of Rs161.50 (buying) and Rs161.60 (selling).
It closed at Rs161 (buying) and Rs161.10 (selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs115,100 (selling) and Rs115,000 (buying) at the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
