THE HAGUE: The pilots' union of KLM, the Dutch arm of Air France, on Saturday declined to sign a document accepting a freeze on wage increases through 2025, a move that could endanger efforts to secure the company's future amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The union said in a statement they did not have enough time to agree to a longer wage freeze as demanded by The Hague. On Friday the government said it would withhold payments from the 3.4 billon euro bailout package KLM is due to receive unless the company adjusts its restructuring plan to include the freezes.
