LAHORE: The Chairman Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) said on Monday that the Authority had collected a record Rs9.4 billion tax on services during the month of October 2020. The Authority had collected Rs7.6 billion in the corresponding month, thus registering a growth of 24 percent in revenue collection, he added. While commending his staff for a marvellous performance, he said the Authority was holding training workshops in all the services sectors to promote tax culture.
According to him, usage of modern collection systems has improved the revenue collection of the Authority. The Chairman said the Authority has also registered a growth of 9.74 percent in tax collection during July-October 2020 by collecting Rs35.46 billion against Rs32.39 billion in the corresponding period.
