LAHORE: Slamming the opposition parties for ignoring the interests of Pakistan for their personal gains, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Monday that the opposition leaders will be held accountable for their anti-Pakistan statements.

"The opposition parties have left no stone unturned for compromising on Pakistan's interests as their recent narrative is totally against the stance of Pakistan," the CM said, adding: "Opposition leaders should repent from the negative politics."

In a statement, the CM said the opposition leaders did not avoid from the politics of gathering despite the second wave of Corona. He was of the view that the opposition leaders have no sentiments for the people as they are unaware of the problems of common man; they are only busy in scoring political points instead of standing with the people, the opposition made a vicious attempt to divide them.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has always given priority to the national interest. He said the people of Pakistan strongly condemned every effort for making the national institutions controversial. Pakistanis are standing with their institutions and will continue to support them. There is no future for those who are speaking against the institutions, he said.

Moreover, another PML-N MPA Azhar Abbas called on Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday and discussed important issues. During the meeting, the PML-N MPA strongly condemned controversial statements of party leadership against state institutions, sources claimed. He also apprised the CM about issues of his home constituency.

Furthermore, on the instructions of Chief Minister, the Punjab government has announced to hold Revenue Awami Khidmat Katcheri once again across the province for changing centuries-old style of governance. The CM said that revenue-related issues of thousands of citizens would be resolved on the spot. Concerned officers will remain present in Revenue Awami Khidmat Katchari from 10 am to 3 pm.

Revenue-related matters of the people across the province will be dealt under one roof which will help to resolve complaints related to revenue at the earliest. Services correction in record, issuance of Fard, Entry of transfer deeds, Registry, Income Certificate, Inspection Record, Issuance of Domicile and other matters relating to Revenue will be resolved in open court.
