KARACHI: On Wednesday, Pakistan Rupee, on market close, remained unchanged in open market against major currencies except for a slight gain against USD thus bringing it below 160 in open market. It also went up slightly against USD in interbank market.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee gained 10 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 159.75 and 159.85 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR remained unchanged for buying and gained 5 paisas for selling over yesterday's rates closing at 159.75 and 159.95 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling closing at 185 and 186.50 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling closing at 43.25 and 43.40 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling closing at 42.20 and 42.35 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee appreciated its worth in the process of trading against the American dollar in the open currency market on Wednesday.
Following lack of buyers' interest in the market, the dollar remained under selling pressure throughout the trading session and ended lower for buying and selling at Rs 159.20 and Rs 160.50 against the overnight closing trend of Rs 159.50 and Rs 160.70 respectively, local currency dealers said.
Moreover, the local currency lost 30 paisas against the pound sterling for buying that closed at Rs 205.50 against the opening rate of Rs 205.20 whereas it did not witness any change for selling and ended at Rs 207.00, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee gained 50 paisas against the dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Wednesday.
The dollar opened at Rs160(buying) and Rs160.10(selling) against last rate of Rs160.50(buying) and Rs161.60(selling).
It closed at Rs160(buying) and Rs160.10(selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs. 113,700(selling) and Rs113,500(buying) at the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
