KARACHI: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue, Javed Ghani during a meeting with a delegation of Leather Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PLGMEA) has said that we are focusing on increasing tax collection and tax net and our top priority was to provide facilities to the exporters and taxpayers.
Chairman PLGMEA Danish Khan led the delegation.
Ghani said that timely payment of tax refunds has not only accelerated business activities but also increased the volume of tax collection.
PLGMEA delegation also discussed matters related to 3% additional sales tax, 1% income tax and other issues.
Danish Khan said that leather garments and goods industry is a value-added industry and Pakistan's third largest export sector.
He said that the recovery of sales tax and refund claims have encouraged taxpayers.
Danish Khan said that due to modern and automated system in the FBR, the payment of tax refunds has improved which is commendable.
