Across Pakistan, 812 people have recovered from coronavirus taking the total number of recoveries to 317,898 while 890 virus patients are stated to be in critical condition.

Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has cautioned against the second wave of Covid-19, asking for action against those who refuse to wear masks in public.

“The virus has claimed lives of at least eight doctors in the last three weeks,” said PMA in a statement.

The PMA has also sought personal protection equipment for doctors and paramedical staff from the government. It demanded release of funds promised under an already announce package.

Moreover, King Edward Medical University (KEMU) Lahore has moved classes online amid a Covid-19 outbreak, Vice-Chancellor KEMU Prof Khalid Gondal, said.

“Five out of 4,500 students tested positive so far,” he said, adding: “The KEMU was carrying out more tests.”
