KARACHI: On Tuesday, PKR continued its upward trend. It went up against USD in both interbank and open markets while also strengthening against Euro, AED and SR in open market.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee gained 20 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 158.65 and 158.75 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR gained 15 paisas for both buying and selling over yesterday's rates closing at 158.35 and 158.65 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR gained 1.50 rupees for buying and 1.30 rupees for selling closing at 185.50 and 187 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR went up by 10 paisas for buying and 15 paisas for selling closing at 42.90 and 43.15 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR gained 15 paisas for buying and 20 paisas for selling closing at 41.80 and 42 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee stayed unchanged on the buying side while it depreciated its worth on the selling side in relation to the greenback in the open market on Tuesday.
According to currency dealers, the greenback did not witness any change throughout the trading session for buying which closed at Rs 158.55 whereas it gained 60 paisas for selling and ended at Rs 159.80 against the opening rate of Rs 159.20.
Moreover, the national currency failed to sustain its day earlier recoveries in the process of trading against the pound sterling. Consequently, the pound's buying and selling rates rose from the Monday's closing of Rs 206.30 and Rs 207.70 to Rs 207.00 and Rs 208.50 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The value of rupee against the dollar remained unchanged at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Tuesday.
The dollar opened at Rs159(buying) and Rs159.10(selling) against same last rate.
It closed at Rs159(buying) and Rs159.10(selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs. 111,600(selling) and Rs113,400(buying) at the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi
