ISLAMABAD: Former premier and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Quaid Nawaz Sharif has "rejected" the inquiry report into "Karachi incident", describing it a "failed effort to scapegoating juniors and hiding the truth".

The former premier took to Twitter on Tuesday and gave his reaction following the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)'s announced through a statement that it has been decided to remove the concerned officers involved in the incident from their current assignments for further departmental proceedings and disposal at the GHQ.

"Inquiry report on Karachi incident is a cover-up scapegoating juniors & shielding the real culprits. Report "Rejected"," Nawaz stated in a tweet.

In an Urdu language tweet, the former premier also maintained: "The inquiry report into the Karachi incident is a failed attempt to hide the real facts. This practice of sacrificing junior officers to save oneself is condemnable."
