There are more than 4.2 million orphan children deprived of their basic right of education in Pakistan. Poverty and unavailability of educational facilities block the way of millions of students to get educated. National and international organisations reports said that 70 million children have no access to basic primary education in Pakistan.
Due to the above mentioned reasons underdeveloped rural areas making no headway and a huge human resource is wasted.
These views were expressed by Syed Waqas Jafri, Director Ghazali Education Trust in a press briefing at Lahore press club.
Jafri said that keeping in mind the educational situation in the rural areas, Ghazali Education Trust has decided to provide best possible educational facilities to the deprived students.
Firmly resolving to get sponsorships for the education of more than 25,000 orphan and deserving students Director of the Trust added that through "Bright Future Campaign" thousands of students will be brought into national educational stream by providing them not only free education but they will also be provided free books, stationery, uniform, bags.
He said that talented students will be granted scholarships to encourage them to excel.
Executive Director of the Trust, Dr Mushtaq Mangat added that the Trust had been spending about Rs 4,88,27,609 in sponsoring all the educational expenses of orphan and deserving students in Trust's schools during the academic session 2011-12.
Referring to issuing Congressional Recognition Certificate to Ghazali Education Trust last month in the United States, he said that the efforts of the Trust had been acknowledged internationally.
