ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has asked its district-level leadership to mobilise masses for maximum participation in the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)'s upcoming rallies in Peshawar, Multan, and Lahore. The PDM, an alliance of 12-opposition political parties are preparing ground for the power show in Peshawar on Nov 22, which would be followed by another public rally in Multan on Nov 30, and the final rally in Lahore on Dec 13th.
A senior PML-N leader told Business Recorder that the PDM rallies in Multan and Lahore would be a test case for the popularity of the opposition parties' anti-government movement, which would be followed by next course of action.
Although, the rally in Peshawar will be hosted jointly by Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Awami National Party (ANP), and the Qaumi Watan Party, he said that the PML-N Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chapter president Amir Muqam and the party leader Capt Safdar (retd) are also on the mass contact drive to mobilise the people in the province. He said the massive public rally in Swat on Friday was a manifestation of the already mobilized party workers.
