Indian PM directly monitors a RAW cell responsible for CPEC sabotage operations, reveals FM Qureshi

The FM said Pakistan has irrefutable evidence and showed letters, transactions, audio and other evidence of Indian involvement of state-sponsored terrorism in Pakistan.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar, in a joint presser, on Saturday categorically stated that India was sabotaging the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and is supporting terrorism in Pakistan.

Talking to reporters in Islamabad the FM said Pakistan has irrefutable evidence and showed letters, transactions, audio and other evidence of Indian involvement of state-sponsored terrorism in Pakistan.

"Today we have irrefutable facts that we will present before the nation and international community through this dossier."

He named two Indian intelligence agencies, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and DIA, which are financing, training and harboring terrorists. Their objective is state terrorism and instability in Pakistan, FM said.

The minister said that Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar could be targets of India this month and next month. He said Indian officials have met with terrorist organizations four times.

He further elaborated that India has distributed Rs22 billion for the purpose of promoting and carrying out terror activities in Pakistan.

Referring to the CPEC, the foreign minister said it shows the clear deepening of the nexus between India and terrorist outfits.

"India is sabotaging CPEC as they know the project's success can be an economic game-changer for Pakistan."

He continued that New Delhi has established a cell in their intelligence agency with the sole objective of disrupting CPEC projects.

"The cell works under the supervision of the Indian prime minister and its mandate is to disrupt CPEC projects. A sum of Rs80bn has been allocated for this purpose."

"There are also reports that India has established a 700-strong militia to target CPEC projects." Qureshi further said that the country is prepared and has established and deployed two security divisions to safeguard the projects and the personnel working on them.

Meanwhile, DG ISPR General Babar Iftikhar said, “[Outlawed] BLF [Baloch Liberation Front] and BLA [Balochistan Liberation Army] were involved in attacking PC Hotel in Gwadar and a RAW officer Anurag Singh planned the attack. Singh had been given $0.5 million for carrying out the attack on Gwadar’s hotel, whereas, Dr Allah Nazar acted as a communicator between terrorists and India.”

This is not the first time that Pakistan has claimed India’s involvement to sabotage the CPEC.

Back in July earlier this year, President Arif Alvi said that India was trying to create troubles in implementation on CPEC and mentioned that its belligerent attitude was posing threat to regional peace and stability.

Last year, Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesman Raveesh Kumar said that India has consistently expressed concerns to both Pakistan and China about CPEC projects in AJK.
