Encounter with suspected terrorists: two CID officials, police informer injured

Two CID personnel and a police informer were injured in an encounter with suspected terrorists of a banned sectarian outfit, who, according to police, were planning to kill a prominent religious scholar of a certain school of though to stoke sectarian violence in the city.
Police said a CID team, on a tip off, raided a ground near Aisha Manzil to arrest the suspected terrorists. The CID team signalled the terrorists, who were present in a white-color vehicle to stop, but they opened fire on the police party, which left two CID personnel and an informer injured. The injured CID personnel were identified as Ubaid Rizvi, Wahid Dino. Sources said that all three injured were shifted to local hospital in critical condition. The suspects managed to flee.
