Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh's leadership wants an equal say in party's affairs, as it is not satisfied with the way the party's affairs are being handled in the province. Senior Vice-President PTI Sindh, M.B Khatrain, while talking to Business Recorder here on Thursday said that Sindh chapter's role should be effective and not just symbolic.
He clearly indicated that Sindh' leadership is not satisfied with the way the party's affairs are being run in the province. The differences may erupt soon if immediate measures were not taken by the central leadership to satisfy angry workers of the province.
"The sooner the differences are revolved the better it would be for the future of the party in Sindh," he added. No policy for Sindh chapter has so far been chalked out and this should be given top priority in wake of the impending general elections, he urged.
He said that he had conveyed his reservations about the hostile attitude showed toward Sindh leadership in Islamabad to party chairman Imran Khan and suggested him to run party's affairs like a political party not an NGO. "PTI has to incorporate Pakistan's Resolution in its manifesto to run party's affairs under predefined framework," he added.
"I don't know how PTI workers of other provinces will react on it but the Sindh's leadership wants equal say in party's affairs with no discrimination. The Sindh is a land of Sufis, who had always spread the message of peace and love so as Sindhis; they are against incendiarism and extremism," he added he said that there was no space for criminals and corrivals in the party as the party needed devoted workers for providing best services to the people of Pakistan.
He dispelled the impression of instigating any movement against PTI central leadership from Sindh, saying that, "the Sindh's chapter of PTI wants to work together with other chapters for better Pakistan. Needless to mention, the differences between central and Sindh's leadership surfaced after the appointment of Nadir Akmal Laghari as PTI Sindh president and Hafeez-ud-Din Advocate as general secretary.
PTI Sindh chapter's workers termed the appointment of Laghari as PTI Sindh president illogical, saying that "how a Saraiki-Speaker could represent Sindhis?" The differences among the workers of PTI in Sindh are going to be hard nut to crack for Imran Khan during upcoming elections' campaign in Sindh, if these were not settled down soon.
