National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has launched a programme to train its over 10,000 officers throughout the country to improve the bank's customer service and strive for total compliance to the regulatory requirement for effective internal control and strong mechanism against money laundering. The training of about 200 officers started on Thursday in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar simultaneously with the help of internal and external expertise.
Duration of the training is five days and covers all relevant subjects including emerging trends in banking operations and technology. Dr Mirza Abrar Baig, SEVP/Group Chief, Training and Organisational Development Group NBP, addressed the participants of the programme in Karachi and distributed certificates.-PR
