Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) has constituted Detection Teams for pointing out power pilferage. These teams are performing their job in six circles of the company since last one week. The teams have been given special tasks to reduce line losses and improve recovery position. Drive against illegal use of electricity has been launched under the Supervision of Chief Engineer Customer Services.
During this campaign one Batta Khasht owner in Pabbi was caught red handed while taking direct connection. FIR has been registered in the concerned police station. Similarly 30 direct connections have been disconnected, while FIRs has been registered against the owner of one Service Station and Plaza for illegal use of electricity.
Detective teams are performing in Pesco Peshawar Circle, Khyber Circle, Mardan Circle, Hazara Circle, Swat Circle and Bannu Circle. The teams have recovered an amount of Rs 1.8 million in only two days. The Chief Executive, Pesco said that drive against illegal use of electricity will continue with full swing. Customers are requested to avoid illegal use of electricity and remove all direct hooks immediately; other wise strict action will be taken against the culprits. The distribution company is also appealing to point out electricity stealers to over come load shedding and ensure untripped power supply to all the consumers. CEO Pesco issued strict instructions if any employee found in helping customers stealing electricity strict disciplinary action will be taken.
POWER SHUTDOWN Due to some necessary maintenance and repair work power supply will remain suspended from 132 KV Haripur Grid Station on Sunday (July 22) from 6:00.AM to 2:00 PM resultantly the consumers of 11 kv Hattar-1,4,5, Shadi, Mustehkum Cement, Neelum Steel, Pakistan Accumulator Volta and Ali Steel feeders will face inconvenience.
