Development schemes of HDA, WASA: Hyderabad DC directs officers to expedite pace of work
HYDERABAD: Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Muhammad Abbas Baloch has directed the concerned officers of WASA and HDA to increase the pace of work of development schemes of HDA and WASA and with the better strategy and under the supervision of technical team make development schemes durable and beneficial for the people. He was presiding over a meeting regarding development schemes of WASA, HDA at his main office, Shahbaz Building, Hyderabad today.
He said that Hyderabad is the second largest city in Sindh and due to climate change there has been comparatively more rains for last two years therefore problems were faced in drainage of rain water. He informed that works on different schemes of improvement of drainage system in Hyderabad are being carried out by the Sindh government.
He said that the development schemes would have been completed in time but due to COVID-19, the health sector remained government’s priority, however much work of the schemes has been completed and soon the schemes will be completed for the benefit of the people, he added.
Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Muhammad Abbas Baloch also directed WASA officers to disconnect illegal water connections and ensure 100% recovery. The MD WASA Muzaffar Memon informed the meeting that due to shortage of funds development schemes could not be completed while we are working on the development schemes with the consultation of best technical team.
