Steady trend was seen on the open market on Monday as the rupee maintained its levels versus dollar in process of trading, experts said. The rupee showed no change in terms of dollar for buying and selling at 94.65 and 94.85. The rupee stayed put also versus euro for buying and selling at Rs 114.80 and Rs 115.80, they added.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the first Asian trade euro slid one percent against yen, hitting its lowest level in more than 11-1/2 years on Monday, pressured by fears that Spain may eventually need a full sovereign bailout. The lack of confidence kept Spanish bond s yields hovering near the highest levels since the euro was created, despite euro zone finance ministers approving on Friday terms for a loan of up to 100 billion euros for Madrid to recapitalise its banks. The dollar was trading against the Indian rupee at Rs 55.85, versus the Malaysian riinggit, dollar was at 3.1715 and against the Chinese yuan the greenback was at 6.3883. Interbank buy/sell rates for taka against dollar on Monday: 81.7300-81.7650 (previous 81.75-81.75) Call Money Rates: 05.00-10.00 percent (previous 05.00-10.00 percent).

Open Market Rates: InterBank Market for Dollar on Monday .
RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee remained unchanged on buying side while it lost five-paisa on selling side against the US dollar in the open currency market on Monday.
According to the currency dealers, the dollar resumed trading at its last week closing of Rs 94.60 and Rs 94.85 on buying and selling counters, respectively. The dollar witnessed no change in its buying rate but it was marginally improved to Rs 94.90 on selling side, the dealers said. However, the rupee showed strength and was improved against the pound sterling. The pound's buying and selling rates were declined from last Saturday closing of Rs 147.40 and Rs 147.70 to Rs 146.80 and Rs 147.50, respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee remained firm against dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Monday.
The rupee retained its week-end levels against the dollar for buying and selling at Rs 94.25 and Rs 94.35, they added..
Pound Sterling opened at Rs 146 (buying) and Rs 146.50 (selling) against same overnight value. It did not observe further change in the evening session and closed at Rs 146 (buying) and Rs 146.50 (selling).
