A special seminar was arranged regarding dengue epidemic, its preventive and precautionary measures for the horticulture staff and sanitary workers in Allama Iqbal Medical College. Principal Professor Mehmood Shaukat, Dr Ashraf Majrooh Head of Community Medicines Department, Dr Jalil Akhtar and other medical experts addressed on the occasion.
The speakers stressed the importance of sanitary workers and horticulture staff role in prevention of dengue epidemic. They said that sanitary workers and horticulture staff can play an important role in curbing breeding of dengue mosquito by ensuring that rainy-water may not accumulate at various places.
