Detection Teams constituted on the directions of Chief Executive, Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) has started operation through out Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In this regard Detection team in Peshawar Circle removed 4 distribution transformers being used for power pilferage, due to which their was a daily loss of Rs 30000.
Similarly in Gulberg Peshawar a plaza with Direct Connection was caught red handed. An assessment of Rs 1,47000 was debited to the consumer account, while FIR has also been lodged in the concerned police station. Pesco Detection Team also checked Wazir Bagh sub-division, tempered and defective meters were replaced immediately.
In Pesco Khyber Circle Detection Team thoroughly checked meters in Tajabad area and replaced defective and tempered meters. In Abbotabad Detection Team checked and disconnected defaulters. Swat Circle Detection Team disconnected the premises of defaulters and FIRs lodged against electricity stealers. Similarly Detection Team in Bannu Circle visited Bannu and DI.Khan and FIRs were lodged against the stealers through Direct Hooks. It is pertinent to mention here that These teams are performing their job from the last 10 days in Pesco's 6 Circles with the special task to reduce line losses and improve recovery position has been given to these teams. Drive against illegal use of electricity has been launched under the supervision of Chief Engineer Customer Services. Chief Executive Pesco said that drive against illegal use of electricity will continue.
