KARACHI: After market close on Tuesday, Pakistan Rupee continued to go down against US Dollar in both interbank and open markets. It also went down against AED and SR in open market while gaining value for buying against Euro and losing for selling.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee lost 5 paisas for buying and 15 paisas for selling against USD over yesterday’s rate closing at 159.30 and 159.50 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR lost 20 paisas for buying and 10 paisas for selling against USD over yesterday’s rates closing at 159.40 and 159.60 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR gained 60 paisas for buying while losing 30 paisas for selling closing at 191.70 and 193 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR lost 10 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 43.20 and 43.40 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR lost 5 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 42.15 and 42.30 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee depreciated its worth on the buying side while it stayed unchanged on the selling side in the process of trading against the greenback in the open currency market on Tuesday.
According to currency dealers, the greenback gained 30 paisas for buying and closed at Rs 159.50 against the opening rate of Rs 159.20 whereas it did not witness any change and firmly closed for selling at Rs 160.50.
Moreover, the rupee failed to sustain its strength as it registered reduction in its worth against the pound sterling. Consequently, the pound’s buying and selling rates rose from Monday’s closing of Rs 219.50 and Rs 220.80 to Rs 220.20 and Rs 222.00 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The dollar gained 60 paisas against the rupee at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Tuesday.
The dollar opened at Rs160(buying) and Rs 160.10(selling) against last rate of Rs159.40(buying) and Rs 159.50(selling).
It closed at Rs160(buying) and Rs 160.10(selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs. 108,600 (selling) and Rs108,400(buying) at the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
