PARIS: FranceAgriMer raised its monthly forecast of soft wheat stocks for the end of the 2020/21 season by more than 100,000 tonnes to 2.7 million tonnes on Wednesday.
The revision is mainly due to a cut in expected exports within the European Union, with France, the EU’s biggest grain producer now expected to ship 5.8 million tonnes of soft wheat within the EU’s 27 countries in 2020/21, down from 5.9 million tonnes estimated last month, the French farm office said.
FranceAgriMer left its forecast of French soft wheat exports outside the EU-27 this season at 7.5 million tonnes, down 45% from a record 13.54 million tonnes in 2019/20.
