HYDERABAD: The Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) Qazi Shahid Parvez has stressed upon all the Revenue Officers to redress the genuine public problems on priority basis and make efforts to meet the revenue targets set by the government on time.
He was chairing a meeting with the Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Syed Mohsin Ali Shah, Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners at the committee room of Commissioner Office.
Qazi Shahid Parvez addressing the meeting said that the income tax recovery in the province may be extended upto Rs20 billion while at present only Rs2 billion had been recovered throughout the Sindh Province. He directed all the Revenue officers particularly Assistant Commissioners to extend their efforts in their areas to achieve agricultural income tax from the growers having 50 acres of irrigated land, 100 acres of un-irrigated land including the agricultural income of more than Rs1.2 million. He also directed them to use the Google images from the modern technology including tracing the obtained figures by their respective area Tapedars.
He also directed the Assistant Commissioners to calculate the correct estimation of the crops, otherwise report would be sent to the Chief Secretary based on falsification from the involved ones. The SMBR directed the Deputy Commissioners to monitor the assessment work of the agricultural income tax being prepared by the taluka Assistant Commissioners and ensure implementation on the dateline fixed of the March, 31, 2021.
On the occasion the Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Syed Mohsin Ali Shah also directed the Assistant Commissioners that they should have a field check at the agricultural lands in their areas.
All the Deputy Commissioners informed the meeting regarding agricultural income tax and recoveries in their districts. The Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Abrar Ahmad Jafar, Deputy Commissioner Sanghar Imran ul Hasan Khawaja, Deputy Commissioner Naushahro Feroze Captain (retd) Bilal Shahid Rao and Assistant Commissioners of the division attended the meeting.
