In a move to avert the incidents of bank robbery in the city, the Sindh police have started scrutiny of personal records of private security guards. According to sources, the Sindh police have started collecting records of some 50, 000 security guards, who are deployed in different organisations across the city.
The sources said the authority had so far processed the records of some 2000 security guards and out of them; some 17 security guards had criminal records. They said the scrutiny of the records was aimed at averting the growing bank robberies.
