The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has launched the seventh phase of the fumigation of anti-insecticides in the entire metropolis here on Monday. The fumigation campaign is being carried out by the Municipal Services Department in co-ordination with district municipal corporations and district council under the Malaria and Dengue Fever Control Program, said a statement issued by the KMC.
The fumigation will be performed in district South on 30 and 31, in District Central from 4th to 7th August, in District West from August 8 to 10 in District Malir from August 11 to 13. The suburbs of the Karachi will be covered from August 15 and 16 while the fumigation will be performed in all five districts of the Karachi in the evening. Administrator KMC, Muhammad Hussain Syed has said that the spray of anti-insecticides will also be performed in all areas in the city after monsoon season so as to protect the people from viral diseases. The administrator KMC noted that the total 65 vehicles will be utilised to perform fumigation at a time in each area.
