National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) will make all efforts to facilitate road user, provide timely and effective help to the commuters in distress said DIG National Highways and Motorway Police N-5 Central Rai Altaf Hussain while making a surprise visit from Lahore to Okara.
During his surprise visit DIG observed public dealing of the officers and asked them to show maximum tolerance while dealing with the commuters. He instructed them to ensure effective checking of over speeding vehicles through speed checking cameras especially before 'Iftar' timings. He also made a surprise visit of NH&MP beat camps in Sunder and Jumber to observe the security arrangements of these camps and communication system installed there. DIG directed the beat commanders/DSPs to ensure proper arrangement for 'Sehri' and 'Iftar' for the officers on duty. He further directed them to take strict action against overloaded vehicles and motorcyclists without safety helmet. He also directed all the SSPs to personally monitor the progress of campaigns and performance of the patrolling officers.
