KARACHI: The Karachi Port handled 181,226 tonnes of cargo comprising 132,160 tonnes of import cargo and 49,066 tonnes of export cargo during the last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargos of 132,160 tonnes comprised of 56,635 tonnes of containerised cargo; 5,195 tonnes of canola, 12,836 tonnes of DAP; 4578 tonnes of soyabean seeds, 13,916 tons of wheat and 39,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 49,066 tonnes comprised of 42,570 tonnes of containerised cargo, 6496 tonnes of bulk cement.
There were 05 vessels namely Mol Globe, Leo Paramount, M.T Karachi, Mohar and Gramos.
There were 06 vessels namely, M.T Lahore, Hyundai Platinum, Cosco Aden, Szczecin Trader, Paris Express and Kmtc Dubai.
There were two ship namely Constantinos and Leo Paramount.
Port Qasim
A cargo volume of 163,125 tonnes, comprising 85,624 tonnes imports cargo and 77,501 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 4,991 Containers (912 TEUs imports and 4,079 TEUs export), was handled at the port during last 24 hours .
Following were the high lights in ones during last 24 hours. A total of twelve ships are currently at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim and waiting for berths, out of them four ship Josephine Maersk, Emmarkis-I, Sea Helios & Galicia Spirit and another Great Link carrying Containers, Wheat, Mogas, Natural gas and Coal are expected take berths at QICT, FAP, FOTCO, PGPCL and MW-4 on Thursday, 18th March, while two more ships, Safmarine Ngami and CMA CGM Ivanhoe with containers are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday, 19th March-2021.
