The Lahore High Court here on Tuesday advised the young doctors to approach the court for the redressal of their grievances instead of resorting to agitation. The court was hearing a petition seeking cancellation of licenses of striking doctors. A law officer informed the court that the doctors involved in infant Fahad death case had not joined the police investigation so far. The non-co-operation of doctors is causing delay in completion of investigation report, he added.
The court after hearing the law officer directed the doctors to join police investigation so that the facts could be unearthed in infant Fahad case. The court also issued notices to respondents on an application of teaching cadre doctors to become party in the case and adjourned hearing till September 01.
The petitioner's counsel Azhar Siddique informed the court that young doctors are again staging protest demonstrations in violation of court directions. He pointed out that patients at the public health facilities are again suffering owing to the new strike of doctors.
