Ministry of IT spending Rs20bn for providing broadband services to Balochistan
ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunications Anusha Rehman Thursday said that ministry had launched the projects of Rs 20 billion for providing broadband services in Balochistan.
Speaking in the National Assembly during question hour session, the minister said that through these projects, a massive broadband coverage was being given to different areas of the province.
She said that many of these projects were near completion adding, the broadband services was a gift for the people of Balochistan.
She said that now the 3G services were being provided in those areas of the province where even PTCL was not providing its services.
Now all cellular companies were ready to provide their services in Balochistan on the demand of people of the area, she added.
