Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested 10 suspects, including three alleged TTP commanders during separate raids in city on Sunday. Paposh police arrested a street criminal after brief encounter in Paposh area and arrested two accused namely Hameedullah and Abdul Rehman. Police recovered 2 TT pistols and looted booty from their possession.
In another raid, police claimed to have arrested three suspects during a raid at their hideout in Nabi Bux area of Old City, the suspects were involved in the kidnapping of a woman, namely Shumaila who was also recovered during the raid.
Jamshed Town police also arrested two suspects who were later identified as Fayyaz and Laiq after a brief encounter near Guru Mandir. Police said that the suspects were wanted to police in various cases of street crime while further investigation was underway. Police also arrested an accused, identified as Abdul Majid and recovered one TT pistol from his possession.
Sources said that intelligence agencies also nabbed three TTP commanders who were allegedly involved in an attack on vehicle of World Health Organisation (WHO) that occurred some weeks ago in Sohrab Goth. Identity of the accused could not be confirmed. However, police could not confirm the srrests.
Meanwhile, New Town police also rounded up two accused involved in street crime activities and recovered one TT pistol and looted booty from their possession.
