ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet and the Cabinet Committee on Privatisation (CCoP) meetings scheduled to be held on Wednesday have been postponed due to the some important engagement of Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin.
An official said that now the meeting of the ECC is expected on Friday, and the schedule to this effect would be finalised on Thursday.
Most probably, he added that the agenda of the ECC would remain the same.
The ECC 9-point agenda included; (i) Petroleum Division seeking approval for allocation of gas from Well NF HOR-1 to third parties; (ii) Ministry of Defense and Production summary for approval of Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG) to the tune of Rs100 million from Development Budget of Ministry of Defence Production for Project Management Cell for Gwadar Shipyard; (iii) Ministry of Housing and Works summary for allocation of additional funds during the ongoing fiscal year (2020-21) in respect of development schemes of Ministry of Housing and Works; (iv) Ministry of Industries and Production summary for approval of TSG of Rs 85 million for payment of court fee in case Dr Hilal Hussain Al Tuwairqi and Al Ittefaq Steel Products Company Limited against Pakistan; (v) Petroleum Division proposal for approval of TSG during current fiscal year for supply of gas to Allama Iqbal Industrial City Special Economic Zone (SEZ); (vi) Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division request for launching of 2nd Phase of Ehsaas emergency cash; (vii) Commerce Ministry’s proposal with regard to condonation of delay of late shipment of vehicles Imported by Overseas Pakistanis;(viii) BOI proposal for exemption from minimum turnover tax under SEZ Act 2012, and the Privatisation Commission's proposal for Grant of National Security Certificate (NSC) and outstanding issues of KE's payables and receivables.
