The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Monday issued notice to Federal Minister and Secretary Religious Affairs in a contempt petition for giving statement against the court decision. The petitioner JAP Chairman Azhar Sadique contended that a number of Hajj operators had approached the court against the ministry for not giving them quota.
The court had directed the Ministry for Religious Affairs to give quota to new Hajj Operators but the respondent giving a statement that they would not give the quota to the new hajj operators. The petitioner contended that the respondents by giving such statement exposed themselves for the contempt of court proceedings. He therefore prayed to the court to initiate contempt of court proceedings against the respondents.
