KARACHI: Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has posted a revenue collection of Rs 10.261 billion as compared to Rs 6.734 billion collected during May, 2020, registering a phenomenal growth of over 52 percent.
The SRB has collected Rs 108.686 billion during the eleven months (July-May 2020-21) as against Rs 91.198 billion collected in the same period of 2019-20, reflecting an increase of over 19 percent.
The success in achieving the extraordinary revenue growth of 52 percent during May, 2021, is attributed to the continued trust and cooperation of SRB taxpayers, the continuous support by the government of Sindh and the relentless efforts of the SRB officers and staff, the board said, adding that they would continue to work hard to maximize the revenue collection during the remainder of the current financial year 2020-21, despite all the adverse factors such as low economic growth and the resurgence of Covid-19, impacting the services sector.
