MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Afghan National Security Advisor (NSA) Hamdullah Mohib should be careful with his choice of words.
During an address to party workers in Multan on Saturday, the Foreign Minister said the Afghan security adviser should be ashamed for maligning Pakistan.
The foreign minister said Pakistan had been placed on FATF's grey list in 2018 and alleged that some politicians had made efforts to get the country's name on the watchdog's blacklist.
He said that in FATT’s last meeting, it was noted that Pakistan had taken concrete steps to curb money laundering, adding that there was no justification to keep Pakistan on the grey list anymore.
The foreign minister hoped that the country would soon move towards the white list if the decision is based on merit.
He said that Prime Minister had adopted a clear stance on the Palestinian issue and Pakistan played a critical role in halting Israeli aggression in Gaza.
On the occasion, Qureshi avoided responding to a question by a journalist regarding PTI’s defeat in by-polls.
