Federal Minister for Communication Dr Arbab Alamgir said here on Tuesday that communication is the backbone of the country and plays key role in national development. Talking to officials of National Highway Authority (NHA) in Islamabad, the Federal Minister said that the government has accorded special attention to communication sector by spreading the network of roads and highways in the country to accelerate pace of development.
On the special directives of President and Prime Minister, he was making visits on war footing basis to personally oversee and inspects progress on the developmental projects. He directed the officials of NHA to ensure speedy completion of the projects without compromising on quality.
