LAHORE: The Punjab government has constituted monitoring teams to collect information about departments who have deducted sales tax on services but not deposited to the exchequer. Accordingly, Commissioner Enforcement Punjab Revenue Authority Dr Javed Iqbal Sheikh has constituted monitoring teams under Additional Commissioner Punjab Revenue Authority Misbah Nawaz to collect information and ensure depositing of the sales tax on services during the month of June.
These teams have visited more than 50 government departments so far and collected information about the pending payments under the sales tax on services already deducted and to be deposited during the month of June.
