Modest activity witnessed on grain market

Modest trading was seen on the wholesale grain market on Thursday as prices moved up modestly, dealers said. On the cereal side guwar Sindh and Punjab went up by Rs 100 to Rs 21000-22000 in process of trading, they said. On the seed counter castorseed Lasbela gained Rs 25 to Rs 1825 and castor seeds Sindh picked up the same amount to Rs 1625, cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh (New) low type fell by Rs 60 to Rs 950 while the superior type was inert at Rs 1020, they said. Prices were unchanged on the rice and grams sectors, they added.
