On Jodia Bazar milk powder Irish skimmed rose by Rs 50 to Rs 8550, Haleeb SMP was quoted at Rs 6500 while Holland was up by Rs 100 to Rs 8600.
On Thursday producers announced edible oil prices generally rose globally while caution was afloat that attempt to avoid food crisis may worsen problem. However the few fluctuations noted on seed and grain markets were in guwar Sindh and Punjab which showed rising trend again. Anyway Juwar rose by Rs 100 to Rs 21000 and Rs 22000, castorseed Lasbela rose by Rs 25 to Rs 1825 while castorseed Sindh rose by same amount to Rs 1625, cottonseed oilcakes in Sindh with bag new low type fell by Rs 60 to Rs 950 while the better type put at Rs 1020.
On Jodia Bazar chemical items (per kg) caustic soda flakes Saudi rose by Rs 2 to Rs 72, sodium sulphate shed Rs 2 to Rs 15.50, and citric acid China was quoted at Rs 10/- Rangolite 'C' (per pound) from China was quoted at Rs 91,
On Friday markets remained closed on account of Yome Shadat-e-Hazrat Ali.
On Saturday makai low type gained Rs 38 to Rs 2513 and best quality was up by Rs 25 to Rs 2525 due to short supply, juwar low type picked up Rs 200 to Rs 2300 and the good type rose by Rs 250 to Rs 2400, wheat old Bardan and new both shed Rs 10 to Rs 2840 and Rs 2880. Basmati D98 Shahdadkot low type showed no change at Rs 6200 while the new quality lost Rs 200 to Rs 3500. Cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh (old) low type retained overnight level at Rs 500 and best type was down by Rs 50 to Rs 550, cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh (new) low type picked up Rs 25 to Rs 975 and the best type lost Rs 120 to Rs 1000, other items maintained overnight levels. Prices maintained overnight levels on the grams side.
