LAHORE: The Sheikhupura police has claimed to have arrested 35 accused of 13 different 'dangerous' robbery gangs and traced 67 cases during the month of August 2021.

According to the monthly performance report submitted to the Central Police Office (CPO), the Sheikhupura police said it arrested 35 accused of 13 dangerous robbery gangs and traced 67 cases in addition to the recovery of a large number of stolen goods and illegal weapons.

As per the report, 18 motorcycles, 29 precious mobile phones and modern (illegal) weapons were seized from the possession of the accused wanted in cases of robbery, dacoity, burglary and theft. It says that after arresting 286 and registration of FIRs against them, police recovered 31 Kalashnikovs, 186 pistols, 30 bores, 33 rifles, 36 guns, a large number of cartridges and live bullets. The police also arrested 87 proclaimed offenders of category-A and 176 of category-B.

In the operation against drug dealers, the Sheikhupura police said it registered 117 FIRs after apprehending 123 alleged drug dealers.
