During the hearing, the AIG Karachi sought time from the court to submit a progress report into the reopening of the cases. Government attorney said that the applicant named, Iqbal Kazmi, has already expired, to which the SHC bench ordered the concerned SHO to submit the death certificate.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the case until October 04, 2021.

Meanwhile, the SHC extended the bail of Agha Siraj Durrani, Speaker National Assembly till September 20, 2021 in a case related to "assets beyond means".
