ISLAMABAD: Late Wednesday night negotiations between a 10-member delegation of protesting traders and the FBR member Inland Revenue (Operations) Qaiser Iqbal at the FBR House remained inclusive. At the conclusion of the meeting, traders’ leaders Ajmal Baloch and Naeem Mir told media that the talks with the FBR failed as tax officials were insisting on documentation under the controversial Ordinance. The deadlock between the FBR and traders was maintained. Resultantly, the traders announced new date of protest i.e. October 19 at Faizabad Chowk Islamabad.
Traders also announced to end the protest from the FBR Headquarters late Wednesday night.
