KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's end-September palm oil end-stocks fell 6.99% from the previous month to 1.75 million tonnes, data from industry regulator Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) showed on Monday.
Crude palm oil production declined 0.39% from August to 1.7 million tonnes, while palm oil exports surged 36.83% to 1.6 million tonnes, MPOB said.
A Reuters survey forecast inventories to fall 0.36% to 1.87 million tonnes. Production was pegged to rise 2.8% to 1.75 million tonnes. Exports were expected to jump 39.8% to 1.63 million tonnes.
