FAISALABAD: In line with the banking equity policy of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), as many as 7,590 branches of different commercial banks will establish women help desks under the title of "women champion" by the year 2024.
Inaugurating the first women help desk in Liaqat Road branch of Bank Alfalah, Chief Manager SBP Faisalabad, Sarfraz Ahmad Nadeem said that women are more than fifty percent of our total population but their share in the economy is quite negligible. He said that the SBP had announced this policy to encourage women to play their proactive role and give a quantum jump to the national economy.
