One-window operation to accelerate industrial development: FIEDMC chief
FAISALABAD: The 111th meeting of the Board of Directors of Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) was held under the chairmanship of Chairman FIEDMC Zafar Iqbal Sarwar.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad Ali Shehzad, Chief Executive Officer FIEDMC Rana Muhammad Yousaf, Members Board of Directors, Chairman (PTEA) Sohail Pasha, Secretary General (PTEA) Azizullah Goheer, Engineer Rizwan Ashraf, Syed Zia Alimdar Hussain, Khurram Mukhtar, Musaddiq Zulqarnain, President (FCCI) Atif Munir Sheikh, and Shehzad Azam, Additional Secretary, Finance Secretary, Industry Department attended.
The meeting started with recitation of Holy Quran. Later, Chairman FIEDMC Zafar Iqbal Sarwar elaborated on his meeting with Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar and others in Islamabad last day. He said that in line with the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, the government was making it easier for businessmen, which is why the launch of One Window Operation System would accelerate the process of industrial development. Successful progress has been made in the pending cases involving Fesco and other entities. He said that all the affairs are being carried out with teamwork in FIEDMC; Alhamdulillah, and all the legal requirements and aspects are being taken care of.
The meeting also discussed issues related to ongoing development and construction work in M3 and Allama Iqbal Industrial City and issues facing customers. It was informed in the meeting that 500 KV grid station will be installed by Allama Fesco in Allama Iqbal Industrial Estate, for which land will be provided by FIEDMC while full support will be received from the Federal Government in this project.
The project will cost 8.6 million rupees, as well as the construction of a 66-foot road, sewerage system work and the construction of a watch tower with a boundary wall. Meeting was also briefed on the provision of mortgage facilities to the customers and it was informed that some customers are seeking mortgage facilities. In addition, ongoing issues with Fesco regarding power transmission etc. were also on the agenda of the meeting. The meeting also discussed in detail the facilities at Value Edition City, M3 Industrial City and Allama Iqbal Industrial City.
